A new headline in my Inbox caught my eye today: “Hollis Thomases, check out your week on Twitter.” Curious, I opened up the email and was presented with the following:
I found this snapshot pretty interesting for a couple of reasons:
- It’s pretty easily digestible;
- Twitter’s starting to provide analysis that users only used to be able to get from third party tools;
- Since its mass adoption, I’ve felt that Twitter’s real revenue power is in the data — and analysis thereof — that they have access to and could resell to all kinds of entities. So if they’re starting to provide this simple top-line view to individual users, perhaps they’re also preparing to provide larger and deeper analysis for sale??
Let’s see where this may lead.
